If you have the space for a garden then you have a
space for a raise bed garden. Control soil, weeds and extend the
growing year with a simple garden DIY raise bed.
Building a Raise Bed for gardening.
This was an EXTREMELY easy project.
All I did is purchase 3 boards (12" x 8') and cut one of the boards
in-half (4').
Then SEAL IT! If you can find it use linseed oil. It is
considered organic and will preserve your wood for many, many years
to come.
Then cut some 2" x 2" x 8' striping to about 10" strips.
Screwed each board into the stripping (stripping is located in the
corners/inside) which created the box frame.
I didn't stake the frame into the ground or use nails. I
want to be able to move my bed if I have to and, God forbid, be able
to take the bed apart if I need to move living locations.
